Location announcements

  • Due to higher-than-anticipated registration numbers, Thursday's sessions have been moved to the Student Activity Center Ballroom, which is located on the second floor of the SAC (2.410). We will be on the far (north) half of the ballroom.
  • The reception following the Thursday sessions will still be held in the College of Liberal Arts building, on the ground floor, in the Glickman Conference center (CLA 1.302).
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday sessions will take place in the Edgar A. Smith building (2nd floor).

Other notes

  • Register if you haven't yet!
    • Attendance is free for UT students and faculty, but registration is required.
  • Deadline for lightning talk slides: should be emailed to us before May 12.
  • Suggested submission time for accepted talk slides: end of day before your talk.
  • Admission to the Blanton Museum of Art is free for all SALT attendees on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. (In my opinion, the Blanton is the best art museum in Austin, and it's right next door to the EAS, where those days' sessions are taking place.) Hours:
    • Fri. 10am – 5pm
    • Sat. 11am - 5pm
    • Sun. 1pm - 5pm
I think you can just tell the people at the front desk that you're attending a conference in the Edgar A. Smith building, but if there's a password or something, I'll update this page.
  • If you've got a car, you can park in the Brazos garage for $4 / day (no re-entry) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Bring your parking ticket with you to the sessions, and then jag over to the Blanton proper during one of the breaks, sometime within their business hours (listed above), to get it validated. (Parking on Thursday is not discounted.)

The 26th conference on Semantics and Linguistic Theory (SALT) will be held at the University of Texas at Austin .

The conference will begin with a special session on presupposition on , followed by the main session, which will run .

The Proceedings of SALT 26 will be published by Cornell and the LSA, as usual, and will be available at the SALT Proceedings webpage once published. If you want to join the LSA, they are offering SALT participants a 20% discount on membership fees.

Edit Doron has had to stand down as a speaker due to a scheduling conflict: she will be receiving the prestigious Israel Prize, the highest honor offered by the state. Congratulations Edit!
